Golden Bear Farms is based in Kiel, Wisconsin, with convenient drop sites in both Kiel and Black Creek for local pick-up. We also offer local delivery within 120 miles of the Fox Valley and ship frozen orders nationwide through our trusted partners.

Our animals are organically raised, meaning they’re fed an organic, non-GMO, soy-free, and corn-free diet and are never given antibiotics, added hormones, or steroids.

All of our animals are pasture-raised with year-round access to fresh air, sunshine, and open space. Our cattle graze on natural grasses, our pigs root and roam freely, and our hens forage daily for insects and greens. This humane and natural approach creates cleaner, more flavorful, and nutrient-rich meat and eggs.

You can place your order directly through our online shop or via our wholesale order form. Choose farm pick-up, local delivery, or shipping at checkout. Orders are packed frozen and typically ready for delivery or pick-up within 3–7 business days. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your final total and estimated date once your order is processed.

Wholesale orders are designed for restaurants, retailers, and community buyers who need larger volumes — or for those interested in purchasing whole, half, or quarter animals to process and butcher themselves. After submitting the wholesale form, you’ll receive a detailed quote and estimated delivery or pick-up date.

Golden Bear Farms raises beef cattle, pigs, and poultry, producing a full range of local meats and eggs. Our organic local beef comes from pasture-raised cattle, our pork comes from heritage-breed pigs known for their rich flavor and marbling, and our poultry includes pasture-raised hens for both meat and eggs. We also offer raw local honey, sourced from Wisconsin beekeepers who share our commitment to sustainable farming.

Our herds and flocks are carefully chosen for both hardiness and flavor. We raise Angus-cross beef cattle, known for tender, flavorful meat and strong pasture performance; heritage-breed pigs such as Berkshire and Hereford crosses, which produce well-marbled pork with natural sweetness; and laying hens of several hardy breeds, including Rhode Island Reds, Buff Orpingtons, and Barred Rocks, each producing eggs in shades of brown, white, and speckled. These breeds thrive in Wisconsin’s climate and on pasture-based systems.

Our animals enjoy a natural, pasture-centered diet year-round. Cattle graze on mixed grasses, clover, and native forage; pigs root and roam outdoors, supplemented with organic, soy-free and corn-free feed; and our hens and meat chickens forage for insects and greens, along with the same balanced organic feed. We never use GMOs, antibiotics, or synthetic additives—only clean nutrition that supports healthy animals and nutrient-rich meat.

Rotational grazing is a sustainable farming method where animals are moved frequently between pastures. This gives the land time to rest and regrow, naturally fertilizes the soil, and helps prevent overgrazing. At Golden Bear Farms, it keeps our animals healthy and our pastures thriving—creating a regenerative cycle that benefits the land, the livestock, and ultimately, the quality of the local meat we provide.
